La Videlle Crew
After graduating from university, Matteo Liberotti, co-owner and captain of La Videlle, has accumulated 25 years of sailing experience in the Mediterranean and Atlantic oceans, covering a distance of over 200,000 nautical miles. With his profound understanding of the Mediterranean region and thorough knowledge of sailing routes in the Caribbean and the USA's East Coast, Matteo has become an accomplished professional in his field.
Matteo's love for the sea goes beyond sailing, as he is also an accomplished kite surfing instructor, spear fisherman and is a certified SSI/PADI Dive Expert, leading certified divers on underwater excursions.
As the captain, Matteo oversees every aspect of the sailing experience to ensure a smooth and enjoyable trip for all guests aboard La Videlle. Our ultimate goal is to provide you with an unforgettable experience of a lifetime!
Captain Matteo
Jade Lam, co-owner of the business, was raised in Hawaii and later pursued her education at Georgetown University before completing her studies at Washington State University. She obtained a BS degree in Communications from the latter. During her childhood in Hawaii, Jade developed a love for outdoor activities such as surfing, diving, fishing, tennis, and golf
Jade has made Italy her home for the past 25 years, where she raised two wonderful daughters and built a successful import business, as well as owning and operating two home design boutiques in Rome. Her business has taken her around the globe to source, design, and manufacture unique and artisanal furnishings.
After selling her interest in the boutiques, Jade is now the owner, crew, and chef on La Videlle.
Her love for authenticity, beauty, and quality is evident in both the boat's interiors and her culinary creations. Jade's passion for cooking began at a young age, studying the culinary arts since she was 12 years old. Jade is fluent in English and Italian.
